New Alpenverein Climbing Gym planned in Völs

The Innsbruck branch of the Alpenverein Östereich is expanding its facilities: At the western edge of Innsbruck, a modern climbing gym is being built in Völs, with an opening scheduled for autumn 2026. It will offer spacious bouldering and rope-climbing areas for beginners, advanced climbers, and training groups.

A strong focus is placed on sustainability, high energy efficiency, and excellent accessibility – by bike, bus, and in the future also by regional rail. With this project, the Innsbruck section is making a clear statement about the continued development of climbing in the region.
