That was the BlocMaster 2025
12. July 2025The nationwide hobby competition BlocMaster took place for the second time – and it was a great success again in 2025!
Over 100 motivated climbers from all over Austria, as well as South Tyrol, the Lake Constance region, and Switzerland came to the qualifier and battled it out in jam format on 15 exciting boulders to earn a spot in the finals.
The top 8 women and 8 men qualified for the final in World Cup format – with 4 boulder problems per category.
In the women’s competition, the level was particularly high, with boulders that demanded everything from the athletes. Nevertheless, some impressive performances were shown:

Important Note on the Hobby Rule
Unfortunately, there was some dissatisfaction this year due to participants not following the hobby competition rules. Our organizing team noticed this too late. We’d like to emphasize once again:
BlocMaster is and remains a competition for hobby climbers.
Participants who competed in national or international competitions in the current or previous calendar year are not eligible to participate.
Thank you for your understanding – we will be more vigilant about this next year.
Talents – The Future of Bouldering
Alongside the main event, the BlocMaster Talents 2025 took place for the youth categories U11, U13, and U15 – featuring a very strong field and impressive performances.
On the World Cup wall, the kids showed what they were capable of. The route setters worked through the night to create perfect problems – and it paid off!
