Autobelay Alarm System – Clift Sentry!

We are proud to be the first climbing hall in Austria to put a safety system into operation for our autobelay.

From now on you will find the CLIFT Sentry in our 8 autobelay machines, an audio-visual alarm system that can prevent climbing without a safety rope attached by emitting a distinctive warning tone. As soon as someone climbs past the attached sensors without safety, the alarm signal goes off loud and clear.
You will find two sensors at each autobelay line and another sensor on the rope. These are simply sensors and neither cameras, switches nor push buttons!
It is important to understand that even the best technology cannot prevent accidents, but with this system we are very confident that the most obvious errors can be avoided:
– failure to attach the safety rope,
– starting to climb when someone is already climbing in the same line,
– and climbing on the wrong line
